MONROE, Ga. — At least two Central Georgia schools are delaying starts or closing their doors on Monday after a severe storm had made its way through the area. In Monroe County, schools will have a delayed start schedule, according to a tweet from Mary Persons High School’s twitter. An MP who recently returned from Ukraine has called on NATO to supply military jets to help the country in the war with Russia. Duncan Baker, Conservative MP for North Norfolk, was speaking after joining local volunteers delivering aid. Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Thursday highlighted the importance of high-level meetings of officials from Greece and Georgia as he met the Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou in Athens. Georgian Dream and opposition parties have again failed to agree on a joint candidate for the new Public Defender. They announced after the December 19 meeting that there is no consensus over the issue.
