The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Federation decided to increase the minimum net wage in the entity to 619 marka ($345.7/316.5 euro) from 596 marka, local media reported.
The Federation’s government made this decision at an emergency session held on December 29, unbeknownst to the public, news provider Capital reported on Thursday.
The entity’s minister of development, entrepreneurship and crafts, Vojin Mijatovic, said in October the Federation’s government plans to increase the minimum net wage to 1,000 marka as of the beginning of 2024.
At the beginning of 2023, the Federation increased the bottom net wage by 9.85% to 596 marka.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
